Piper pa-31t cheyenne ii
The Cheyenne is a turboprop version of the Navajo/Chieftain series. The basic airframes are virtually identical in every which way, except for the addition of wingtip tanks, refined nose profile, engine nacelles, "T" tail (Cheyenne III & IV) & other details depending upon the variant. It is powered by Pratt & Whitney PT-6-14's of 750 hp. The ultimate Cheyenne was the Mark IV (& 400LS) of which only 45 were built and powered by Garrett TPE-331 directly geared turboprop engines generating 1,000 hp. The following photos are captioning this Cheyenne as PA-42 when in fact its correctly designated as "PA-31T Cheyenne II."
